Before Locus became a leader in logistics innovation, our story began with a mission much closer to home — developing a route deviation app, RideSafe, to **ensure safer journeys for women.** Today, the need for such innovations is more urgent than ever.

In 2025, women’s safety remains a pressing concern. Despite technological advancements, everyday travel continues to pose risks, limiting freedom, opportunities, and peace of mind. But what if technology could change that?

**This Women’s Day, we invite you to step into the driver’s seat of change. Join the #CodeForHer** Hackathon and build the most intuitive solution/app you can imagine to make commute safe for women.

When **technology meets empathy**, the road ahead becomes brighter for everyone. **It’s time to #BuildWithEmpathy and #CodeforHer.**

### Hackathon Schedule

- **Preliminary Round:** Virtual submission of POC & Code by 23rd March 2025.
- **Winner Announcement:** by 11th April, 2025

### Eligibility

- Open to all students, and professionals with upto 3 years of experience.
- You can participate as an individual or as a team of up to 4 people.

### Ideas & resources:

Here are some ideas to get you started:

- Map a city’s safe and unsafe areas
- Panic button on phone to blast out a message at the highest volume and other possible actions
- Identify safe bus routes
- Guardians On The Go - Someone who can escort you safely in times of need
- GPS tracking and route deviations while on app based cabs

\*\*If there are existing solutions similar to your app, it's essential to highlight what sets yours apart. What makes your app better? Clearly define your unique differentiator—whether it’s superior functionality, a groundbreaking feature, or an innovative approach to solving the problem.
